This sermon was a little trickier to write than usual. Last week I had the amazing opportunity to go with Wake Div to The Proctor Institute which was transformational. (More on that in a later post but also in this sermon, and probably every sermon for a while!) The other thing that was tricky was that this was the first Sunday after my friend/sister/mentor/pastor had moved on from her call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in High Point to accept a new call at LTSS. This is all wonderful news, but for a new preacher and a seminarian it felt like a piece of difficult writing.
